PPGCOM/UFMG conducts an annual selection process for new Master’s and Doctoral students. Starting in 2025, 36 Master’s positions and 24 Doctoral positions are offered, with half reserved for self-declared Black applicants.

The annual call is published in June or July, with applications generally accepted until August.

Research scholarships are awarded annually to students admitted through the selection process, according to socioeconomic and ethnic-racial priorities established in specific regulations.

International students enrolled in other Graduate Programs are welcome to take courses at PPGCOM/UFMG. In such cases, students should first contact a faculty member whose research aligns with their project.
